What We Do

Catawba County Champions of Education seeks to be a resource partner in Catawba County and to develop "champions" throughout the community to serve as advocates for education by:

1. Raising the level of awareness of the value of education and its link to economic development for all citizens in the county
2. Stimulating businesses, government, families and schools to contribute toward the improvement of education, both individually and collaboratively

» Education Advocacy
Enabling all citizens through public meetings and speaking engagements to be aware of the importance of education and its link to economic prosperity

» Preschool Advancement
Ensuring that all Catawba County children have access to a high quality preschool education

» Family Involvement
Ensuring that all students' families are aware of the importance of this role in their children's educational success and are provided with ways to be involved

» Business Partnerships
Providing the information for all businesses to take some measurable action to support education
